Enrollment
Are you looking for information about Empowerment Station Academy’s policies and procedures? Check out the links below where you can get all the details you need. If you have a question you cannot find the answer for below, give us a call at (662)617-8303.
Admission and Registration
Registration is processed when we have a completed registration form, signed by the enrolling parent/guardians, and the non-refundable, annual registration fee ($125) & first month tuition, which secures a space for your child. Enrollment is based on space availability using the date parents put their child/children on the waiting list (see policy below).
Supplies
Parents must bring the following supplies upon enrollment:
Infants
Clean sheets and crib/cots are provided for each child. It is necessary for parents who have children on bottles or using baby food to provide these. Mark all bottles and jars. Also, children in our infant and toddler rooms will need disposable diapers. Parents are required to bring wipes and diapers for their child.
Toddlers (Two Years)
- Diapers and wipes (regularly or as instructed by teacher)
- Training pants or pull-ups (if potty training - daily)
- Extra change of clothes (underwear, shoes, socks, shirts, and pants) are very important for those potty training. Each item should be labeled with the child's name and should be updated seasonally or when the teacher informs the parent that the child has used his/her extra set.
Preschool (Three - Five Years)
We prefer a one- piece blanket that has the pillow, blanket, and pad altogether.
- One box of wipes (monthly)
- Extra change of clothes (underwear, shoes, socks, shirts, and pants) are very important for those potty training. Each item should be labeled with child’s name and should be updated seasonally or when the teacher informs the parent that the child has used his/her extra set.
Enrollment Procedures
Before a child can be admitted to our program, we must receive a health form and a current immunization record. State law requires that “A Certificate of Immunization or approved alternative of Certificate of Immunization must be on file at the child care center the first day the child enters the center. A new certificate of Immunization must be updated by the date specified on 121 Form for your child to attend class.
Waiting List Policy
Applicants who wish to have their name placed on the ESA waiting list must submit a completed enrollment form. A $25 non-refundable fee is required at this time. Admission will be granted on the basis of availability. Parents/Guardians will be notified by phone when space becomes available. Enrollment must begin within 1 week or the space will be forfeited and the client’s name will be removed from the waiting list.
Register
Fill out the Registration form.
Exceptional Student Registration
Exceptional Students may enroll and participate in the program. However, ESA’s staff may not be trained in special education. To ensure that there is adequate and safe supervision for all children in the program, the following procedures will be followed before a child may enroll:
- The parent or guardian must contact ESA to set up a pre-enrollment conference, within 10 school days from the date of application. The purpose of this pre-enrollment meeting is to determine proper staffing, special training needs and other student needs.
- At the conference, a discussion between ESA, the parent and/or guardian and school personnel will help determine if the after school staff requires special training. If training needs exceed the expertise of the provider or school staff, every effort will be made to hire appropriately trained staff.
- If the after school program staff requires no additional training, and the proper ratios are being maintained, the child may begin attending the after school program the following day. Students will be included to the fullest extent possible. Lower student/staff ratios will be provided on a case-by-case basis. When reasonable efforts have been made to accommodate a student and those efforts have been unsuccessful, the student may be dismissed from the after-school program.
