Safety and Security

Your child’s safety is a top priority at the ESA. The doors to our facility remain locked throughout the day.  Children must be signed in and out upon arrival and departure. Children may be released only to those persons authorized in writing by the parent/guardian.  Identification will be required when someone other than the parent or guardian will be picking up your child.

Fire and inclement weather drills are conducted on a regular basis. All rooms are equipped with fire alarms, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and a fire suppression system.

Child Abuse and Neglect Procedure

All staff are mandated reporters of child abuse and neglect. They are required by law to report suspected abuse and neglect.

Grievance Procedures

ESA takes seriously all concerns expressed by their clients. Should an individual have a grievance, the following procedure should be followed:

  • Any concerns regarding your child’s care should be brought to the attention of the ESA Staff member.
  • If, after discussing the matter with the Staff member, you are not satisfied with their decision, please contact the Area Coordinator (their name and telephone number will be furnished to you by the Site Director)
  • If, after speaking to the Area Coordinator, the problem cannot be resolved, the Area Coordinator will provide you with the name of the Executive Directors.
  • If the grievance still exists after the first three steps, the Director of Operations will be consulted and make the final determination.
  • The ESA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion or national origin.
