2. Lucky to Learn on St. Patrick’s Day! 

March 17th is St. Patrick’s Day! It’s a great time to have fun with green-themed activities and learn about Irish culture.

Fun Activity for Kids:

• Make a Rainbow Craft: Use colorful paper or crayons to create a big rainbow. At the end, add a “pot of gold” with things you’re thankful for written on gold coins.
• Leprechaun Trap: Build a trap to catch a sneaky leprechaun! Use cardboard boxes, glitter, and green decorations to make it fun.

Parent Tip:

Use the rainbow craft to discuss gratitude. Ask your child, “What are three things you feel lucky to have?” to encourage thankfulness.

3. Celebrate Women’s History Month! 

March is Women’s History Month, and it’s the perfect time to learn about inspiring women from history and today.

Fun Activity for Kids:

• Hero of the Week: Pick a woman to learn about each week! Start with trailblazers like Rosa Parks, Amelia Earhart, or Mae Jemison.
• Story Time: Read books like “She Persisted” by Chelsea Clinton or “Malala’s Magic Pencil” by Malala Yousafzai.
• Dress Up as a Hero: Have fun dressing up as an inspiring woman from history and share what makes her amazing!

Parent Tip:

Encourage your kids to see themselves as history-makers! Help them brainstorm ways they can make a difference, like being kind, standing up for others, or pursuing their dreams.

4. Spring into Reading 

Books make everything more magical, especially during springtime.

Kid Book Picks:

• “The Tiny Seed” by Eric Carle – A story about how things grow.
• “Ada Twist, Scientist” by Andrea Beaty – A tale of curiosity and problem-solving.
• “Mae Among the Stars” by Roda Ahmed – Learn about Mae Jemison, the first Black woman astronaut!

Parent Tip:

Encourage kids to read outside as the weather warms up. Create a “reading picnic” where you pack books and snacks and enjoy story time in nature!
